Emission and Fuel Consumption Reduction
for Two-Wheeler and Small Engine Applications
The Research Consortium ECO-PowerDrive-2 is founded by the Austrian founding agency FFG, the federal government of Styria and the federal government of Upper within the framework of the COMET Excellence Initiative as „k-project“.
The K-project ECO-PowerDrive-2 occupies 20 employees at the premises of Graz University of Technology and at its partner locations and concentrates on the reduction of pollutants and CO2 emissions of two-wheelers, small engine applications and recreational vehicles. Environmentally friendly, competitive, and cost efficient methods and developments are the core objectives of the research program. Under the guidance of the Institute for Internal Combustion Engines and Thermodynamics (IVT), the superior aim of ECO-Power Drive-2 – a significant contribution to the “greening” of small engine applications - is pursued.
